Blog 1- Personal Information

 

Hi Everyone,

I am Rocío Navarrete, I was born in Santiago, but raised in Mexico City until I was 5 years old.  I´m a member of a family of 5 plus my two pets; a dog called Skar and a cat called Astro. My family is conform by my two grandparents, my mom and my brother, and we are really close with my cousins, to the point that we are literally neighbours. 





I graduated from Sain´t Gabriel´s School in 2018, and I´m currenly studing Sociology at Universidad de Chile. Even though the pandemic limits my hobbies, I really love activities in the nature, have fun with my friends, dancing, and also doing yoga. Nowadays, I spend much of my time studying, watching series and drinking a lot of tea.

    I would like hearing more about your experience in Mexico! Hope you are doing well, your dog and cat are so cute, what kind of dance do you practice? I tried dancing but I have 2 left feets hahaha

Post Graduate Studies

 Hello Class! Today I want to tell you about some dreams and hopes I have for my academic future. First of all, I want to finish my actual career that it's sociology, and then I think that I would specialice in an area of my interest. I'm open to the different possibilities that the career offers, but until now,  the area that I want to specialice in is female rights.  The only thing that I am sure about my future is that I want to study abroad for a couple of years, must probably in Mexico or Argentina because I would love to have a master or a PHD from the UNAM or UBA.

A photo and its story

  This picture was taken during a trekking with some friends in Huilo Huilo in 2016. In my school, every   generation had the chance to travel and explore different cities and towns in the South of Chile, for two weeks. I remember that this day in particular my friends and run late for an activities so we didnt catched the bus and we stayed in the hotel. Throughout the day, we decided to explore some path around the area, and just by luck, we arrieved to this beautiful waterfall. I love this photo, no only because its beauty make me feel calm and lucky, but also because  it remind me a wonderfull day with the people that I love the most. After I took this picture we spended the day there enjoying the view and each other, and also, of course, bathing in the waterfall.

GreenTea Peng

 Hi Everyone!  Today Im going to tell you about one of my favorites artist at the time, her artistic name is GreenTea Peng, she has 27 years old, and is originally from London, UK. I listened to her for the first time I think in the middle of 2017 because a friend of mine think that I would enjoy her music. She is not world wide famous, but I think she is an emerging artist because her popularity has rise a lot, especially because of her youtube videos,  mainly her live performance of a single call "downers" in the COLOURS studio. I really like her style and her music, because I think she combine perfectly R&B and a Reggue kind of style that its really unic and really chill. Also I love her tattos, her point of view on fashion and most of her lyrics. There was a rumor that she could come for a Lolapallooza and I would definitily try to go.
